ERF propshaft repair and manufacture

ERF propshafts

Based in Sandbach, Cheshire ERF (Edwin Richard Foden) produced trucks from 1933 having designed the first diesel engine powered lorry in the same year. The company was to dominate the export and home markets for many years and a wide range of models were built until the company was taken over by Canadian company Western Star Trucks in 1996 then later bought out by German company MAN in 2000.

Firow used to modify the propshafts at the Sandbach site originally, and also when they moved to the newer site in Middlewich under the Man brand.

ERF no longer manufacture new trucks, but we still stock ERF parts, so we are able to repair and manufacture propshafts for ERF vehicles.

Manufacture of the trucks was stopped in July 2007, so any ERF truck will be now have a ‘classic’ status. We can offer cheaper parts to repair or build the propshafts for ERF trucks, depending on available budgets and the mileage required of the truck.
